Guest Cottage in the Woods

The Rose Cottage has been featured in Elle Decor Magazine (June/July 1992) and the book "American Country Cottages" by Mary Emmerling (1993.)

This Victorian two-story cottage is privately located above historic Sweet Spring amidst giant oak trees, wonderful scenic vistas and hidden pathways that lead you to downtown shops and restaurants in moments.

Snuggle into one of the comfy bay windows filled with antique lace and fabric pillows. Throw open the old Gothic styled cypress windows and gaze down at the gently bubbling fishpond in the English garden that spills over the hillside.

In the evening you might enjoy playing cards in the window nook or just sitting and swinging on the porch while watching the moon rise over the trees.

There are two beautifully designed sleeping areas to choose from. Upstairs you will find dreamy romantic decor where you can sink into fluffy down comforters atop a queen-size bed and enjoy a spectacular view through dramatic palladium windows. Downstairs you can nap in an antique four-poster walnut spindle bed, nestled in a cozy open room. Comfortable, roomy, peaceful. All to yourself. A true fantasy experience.

Rates start at $150 per night double occupancy. The Rose Cottage will sleep up to five people. $20 per person additional guests.

The Rose Cottage is private lodging. No breakfast is served. There is a full kitchen with refrigerator and microwave for your use (the vintage stove is currently not in use), or we would be happy to make restaurant recommendations for delicious breakfasts.

NO PETS AND NO SMOKING INSIDE, PLEASE!
