A very easy stroll will take you past all the boutique shops, day spas, art galleries and the finest restaurants. Our neighborhood was known as the "Silk Stocking District" in the 1800's and has the grandest collection of restored Victorian housing in the entire historic district. Your stroll downtown will take you past all these beautiful homes as well as incredible gardens, including award-winning gardens at some of our historic springs - that's why the street is called "Spring" street!
Our 1884 "Painted Lady" is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has its own "Secret Garden", a lovely sunken stone garden below street level that provides a respite for more rest and relaxation, it's also an enchanting location for an intimate wedding. A trickling waterfall, ponds and wonderful yard art mix in with the beautiful colors and green foliage of the garden to give you the feeling of finally escaping the real world. All rooms have access to either the front porch or their own private deck area, so the opportunity for communing with nature abounds.
