Probably our most "manly" room, the Captain Bridgeford room is the only bedroom that was not originally a bedroom - it used to be the kitchen! With a majestic queen-size cherrywood 4-poster bed covered in a sumptuously thick satin comforter dominating the room, there are deep royal tones of burgundies, plums and greens in the wallpaper and draperies and a very subdued flower motif! Your private bath (which used to be the kitchen pantry) includes an oversized antique claw-foot bathtub and shower (complete with Milk & Honey bubble bath!). A gas fireplace is surrounded by a unique Victorian-style carved wood mantel and the private entrance leads you out to your own private deck area complete with two outdoor rocking chairs. The deck overlooks our magnificent sunken garden area and gives you ample opportunity to visit with Sophie, should she be playing outside.
